What I don’t understand is which rule is following to add reinforcement when crack width is excessive. Does it add more bars of the same diameter (therefore more As and less spacing) until iteratively the chapter 7.3.4 is verified?
Could it be that these two different approaches that you mentioned (controlling crack width or controlling stress) refer to chapters 7.3.4 and 7.3.3, respectively?
It is doing, in addition, many verifications from TR43, which are usually based on stresses.
I understand that, besides all this, it is verifying also the minimum reinforcement (chapter 7.3.2). How can I know from the “controlling criteria” tool, which criteria is following when I see the warning “7.3”?
