Erika: I think I know what the issue is. The block of commands starting with START USER TABLE appears in the input editor after your MEMBER PROPERTY assignments. Can you please try moving the entire block ahead of the member property. That should take care of the issue. If not, please let me know and I will take a look.

External User Table Syntax Error
Hello,
I have created an external user table from the section builder from the section wizard command. I exported the section through the section builder and saved with a .upt file name and I made sure that it was saved in the same folder as the actual .std file. I imported the section into my general properties through staad/tools/createuser table/new table and then selected my newly created section property manually and stated if it is a angle/WF etc. I have successfully assigned my created section to the appropriate members.
Now, when I run the analysis I am receiving the following errors:
*** ERROR : FILE NOT FOUND C:\...\...
**ERROR- IN READING MEMBER PROPERTIES. CHECK DATA FORMAT CAREFULLY.
I also have the following error (total of 2) in my input file:
Error, User Table property name is NOT valid. Command ignored.
To mitigate my issue I have adjusted the following in my input file:
I specified the full path for the file in the DEFINE USER TABLE block in the input editor
START USER TABLE
TABLE 1 C:\STAAD\GC_SDA\H588x300.upt
END
And I am still getting the same error.
Please help!
Kind Regards,
Erika Reed

RE: Foundation Advanced - Linear Load
For Line Loads, please ensure that you generate the plate mesh after the line load is added. This would enable the software to align the plate nodes along the applied line load and it should accounted for. If you still face problems, please zip the model and upload it and I will take a look.
RE: ISM Problems importing into RAM from Revit
I tested your model by dividing the walls at the story levels. It helps for the roof framing but not for the second floor framing. I even added support columns and beams but the framing still goes to the foundation level at the wall end of the beam. I will file a defect for this issue.
If the steel framing is designed in RAM the camber and stud count do export to Revit.
ISM Problems importing into RAM from Revit
I am having trouble getting the ISM workflow from Revit to RAM to work properly. When I create the repository from Revit, all looks good. Then when i try to bring it over to RAM, it goes all haywire with associating beam end elevations to the wrong level. The RAM modeler levels look correct, but it seems to be modeling several walls overtop of each other and not properly bringing in all the project levels from Revit. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Notice in the photos below how the Revit file image and the ISM image look correct, but the RAM 3D modeler image is all haywire with the beam elevations wrong. This was so much easier with the old RAM-Revit link :-/

RE: Trying to define member properties and getting good rendering but errors in analysis. please help
I was able to replicate the problem when using the user defined pipes option from within the American coldformed section database. I will have to take a detailed look at the issue. I observed that the user defined pipe seems to work when defined from within the American Steel section database > Pipe ( these are hot rolled sections ). Are the sections that you are trying to define, cold formed sections ? If not, for now you can use the hot rolled option.

Trying to define member properties and getting good rendering but errors in analysis. please help
So I have been designing a very non standard structure that is comprised of rectangular tubing and piping up to 1". Unfortunately i will be using materials that are not "structural" and aren't in the library. I've defined all my tubing and piping via the cold formed steel via going into the section database under properties and just specifying the dimensions. This produced the error on analysis that i have a problem with my member properties. I then went under tools in the cold formed steel section and defined all my materials as shown. This also produced the error. I really hope somebody can help because i'm quite new to staad but i have spent many many days designing this piece.
Russian code - member design error
we are using snip 2.23-81 code for the design of steel structure in Staad
and we are getting the following error in slover
* 51 CAN NOT BE CHECKED BY BUCKLING
FACTOR "ALFA" < 0,1 OR ALFA" > 400
(look appendix 7, table 77) * WARNING *

in other codes while analysis of the same structure doesn't have any problem.
please clarify

Review of Shed Design - Truss member failing
Dear All,
Please find my STAAD file as attached for review.
Its a truss roof shed of 24m x 96m with gantry cranes at 7m height.
1. Sections cannot be changed for column and tie members hence plates are added to reduce deflection.
2. Some members are failing in truss frame but manual calculations show it is Safe. Please comment.
Please review my design and suggest me improvements or corrections if any.

Track 3 parameter
Dear Staad Team,
In the output file of my structure, it shows "WARNING: Track 3 option currently unavailable. Reverting back to Track 2.". Please let me know below given,
1) Above warning indicates, Staad Pro is not performing torsion design?
2) Why Track 3 option automatically not available? Though all the parameters are properly assigned.

'SAVE SIGN' Needs to be written every time we change something in the model after running it?
Dear All,
For values of pull and push in seismic load cases in a structure we need to add 'save SIGN' while using SRSS. My question is - is there a way that 'SIGN' be added only once because when we modify the structure after inserting SAVE SIGN , the 'sign' part disappears and has to be added every time before analysing the structure again.

Design Capacities - EC3
Can somebody explain the "m" and "n" values shown in the Steel Design Tab - for example (based on EC3 design code):-
I assumed that "m" was probably the uniform moment factor (for the critical load case) from BS5950 design (along with "n" =1.0), but this doesn't appear to be the case.
Neither is it the EC3 kc factor.
RE: 'SAVE SIGN' Needs to be written every time we change something in the model after running it?
Anurag : There is a software glitch due to which whenever the file is saved through the GUI, it is taking out the SIGN command. For now, you would need to add the SIGN command in every time you save using the GUI. We will get this addressed in the software. The defect id for this issue is 330066.
