RE: Instability warning message in direct analysis method

This file works fine. Thank you, Sye.
I am still getting large displacements (in main frame beam-column nodes) in the load cases with Wind in X direction.

This is because of the large displacements of the plates in X-direction and hence large displacements of the connected elements increasing second order forces insanely on the structure (second order moments to be resisted are of the order of 10^7 kip-in). This makes structure unstable. X- direction wind troubles us because equipment's length is along the Z- direction.
I think the approach of modeling plates just to transfer wind load is not so good for second order analysis or direct analysis.

For now, I used stiff material for connecting elements between equipment/plates and structure. This gives pretty reasonable results.

Thanks your helpful suggestions and prompt responses.

Madhav
