That's probably just reflecting the scale of usage of steel/concrete to Aluminium around the world.
However, with subsea and marine industry, fro time to time we design a fair bit of structure in aluminium either against the ship rules, ADM or AS/NZ 1664. But I don't think there is any many like STAAD has the aluminium code check function, at least not in Australia.
Often because we have to reply on spreadsheet setup for code check for structural members, we can't use STAAD either because it's rather outdated version.
