It is true that the Aluminum Code available in STAAD.Pro is quite old. Implementation of a design code is based on it’s relative usage by users with respect to other codes. Ever since we implemented the aluminum code, we have not seen that to be used nearly as much as the other codes like steel, concrete or even many of the international design codes. Hence the development effort has been focused more towards Steel and Concrete than towards Aluminum. However if there is a significant demand for the Alumium Code, the product management team will definitely consider implementing it. An enhancement request (# 256365) asking for the same is already in the pipeline and has been attached a lower priority for now compared to others, for reasons mentioned above. If there are other users who would like to see this implemented, it would be good to hear from them in this forum post.
