There is not much you can do about the memory usage because there is a limit that the OS imposes on a 32 bit application like STAAD.Pro. We are in the process of coming out with a 64 bit version of STAAD.Pro and it is going to be released this year itself which would be able to leverage additional memory and use multiple cores. For now, here is what you can do. If you are using the basic analysis engine, try switching to the advanced analysis engine ( separately licensed ) as that can significantly help in cutting down on analysis time.
You cannot measure the warp angle directly but you can adjust the tolerance setting used by the algorithm to detect warped plates ( View > Options > Tolerance ). So by changing the tolerance setting and checking for warped plates a few times, you will be able to get an idea of the warping angles for the plates.
