First off you will want to restore the backup file, either one you have saved your self, or one that the program generates periodically. Just rename the .backup file to .rss.
Changing a penetration should only affect beams in the vicinity of the opening. Did anything else happen like a change in version or a change in any of the design criteria, especially stud criteria?
