RE: Ram Concept Connect V6.0 Running Slow With Ram Structural Link

Thanks for the files and details that you sent separately Kyle.

As you noted, the model that is linked to RAM SS includes lateral loads and they of the Lateral SE type. I can reproduce slow performance solving those loads. One slow part is in the adding stability supports as you noted. Having additional loads and combinations also makes the design routines longer.

For those of you who are not familiar with how lateral Self-Equilibrium analysis works in Ram Concept see this:

Meanwhile back to your case, the stabilizing forces are large enough to produce warnings, but not all that large. It's likely a divergence due to how P-Delta analysis is handled in Ram Frame. My first suggestion would be to rerun the file in Ram Frame without P-Delta (and with member forces at joint center line) and then rerun Ram Concept to see if the errors go away, and to see if the performance is any better.

The second thing to test is if the performance is improved at all by deleting the imported drawing file.

You already have the fastest solver selected (Pardiso), but if your PC does not have an Intel processor try Skyline.

I could not reproduce any slow behavior with navigating plans and so forth, but if you are doing this after the analysis and there is a lot of results in memory I suppose it could slow things own. Finally, I tested your files with v6.00.01.006 x 64 in case that matters.
