RE: How to model a corrugated steel plate

Thank you Sye for your reply but it wasn't what I expected. As you know the corrugated plate has a preferential direction to distribute loads: the direction parallel to the "wave" of the corrugated plate. The transverse direction usually it considered to do not transfer any load. In that way I would like to model this particular behavior increasing the stiffness along the major inertia of the corrugated plate (the direction parallel to the "wave" of the corrugated plate). If I change the thickness or I change the Young modulus (as you suggested to me) I will change the both inertia (major and minor) but it's what I don't want to do. Moreover in that way I would like to consider the bracing effect due to the corrugated plate. What I'm talking about is a modelling of a steel prefabricated cabin usually applied on offshore and onshore design. I hope to explained better my needs. Awaiting for your answer.

Thank you and regards

Riccardo
