I am performing a seismic analysis of a 15m steel tower structure, which supports a large boiler at a height of around 10m. I am currently using the IBC code input parameters (SDS, S1 etc.) where STAAD utilises the equivalent force procedure.
The problem I have currently is that the boiler supplier requires to use the acceleration values local to the 6no equipment supports, and I am unable to extract this information from my STAAD model, or even I do not know if STAAD is capable of giving me this information.
I also have the Design Response Spectrum relating the ground accelerations (g) to period (T), however have not included the full spectrum in the analysis input.
