Sir
While dealing with elastic plate Mat foundations, we generally define a value of subgrade modulus to plate raft. In case the subgrade modulus value is high, the plates near to column junction absorbed maximum amount of forces (due to high rigidity) and there is no flow of forces when we move away from column junction, this results in high concentration of forces at those locations and base pressure valuse shown by staad are very high. even after increasing the raft size to the size of earth (LXB or Dia.) the base pressure does not come down. Please suggest.
