There are a number of ways to handle this. Since you have already modeled the insulators, you can model the aluminum pipe as beam elements on top of the isolator as well and apply the loads as it is. There are no dummy elements in STAAD.Pro as such. One can define rigid links using master slave option if that is what you are asking about. In lieu of rigid links, one can also define beam members and assign them high E values to simulate rigid links. However since the insulators are already modeled, you don’t need to do that. Else you may simply calculate the loads and apply those directly on the supporting structure itself and get rid of the insulators/pipes all together. If you do that, be sure to account for any moment due to lateral loads acting on top of the insulator.
