I had not been particularly happy about users applying offsets perpendicular the span of the members. The offsets are basically small rigid members and thus the introduction of offsets also introduces the load carrying capacities of these members in the model giving rise to results which the users were not expecting. It does not justify the introduction of offsets just to have the model look correctly in the GUI. The importance should be given to correct mathematical modelling, which does not always happen with offsets.
Are you saying that you get different results with the same member with and without offsets? Well, this can be expected. However, if you please exactly point out the member number, I will have a look into it in further details.
